No Comply (Old School)
Hey Leute : Dieser Trick und seine vielen Variationen sind heute kaum noch zu sehen, sind aber relativ einfach.Hab die Bescheibung leider nur in englisch :

The No-Comply appeared in the late 80ies (made very Popular by Ray Barbie´s appearance in "Public Domain") and is
more a flatland trick due to itīs limits in height, itīs sort of a "simpler" ollie but it has countless variations and surely
some have not yet been explored.

No-Comply tricks all have one thing in common : one foot will be planted on the street, while the other, usually the
back foot will guide or force the board in the desired direction\rotation.
To initiate such a move, you just slip the planting foot off the edge of the board. At that very moment, your weight will
be naturally centered on the foot remaining on the board, until you will plant foot on the street. The resulting pop of
the back foot will initiate the boards movement, and you can guide the board after that with the back foot or kick it
into it´s desired rotation. Most of the back leg´s movements have sort of a soccer-feel, like kicking a ball with some
banana power... It is essential that slipping off and popping are one move.
The sooner you will get the planted foot back into the air,the more fun and stylish itīll be ;]

FRONTSIDE 180-NO-COMPLY

This is considered the standart No-Comply

1. Ride at any speed, but ride.
2. Place your front foot by the front screws with the ball slightly hanging off the edge, and ur back foot
centered on the board,at the turning point of the back truck, slightly behind the screws.
3. Slip off your front foot and plant it on the street beside the board,at the same time pop itīs tail slightly and
guide the board in a frontside 180-movement with the back foot.
4. Jump off your front foot as soon as possible and place it on the board when the rotation has finished

VARIATION:Your can add either a 180 turn on the back wheel to complete the frontside turning or shift the board
backside on the back truck after landing, which is called "shifty"

VARIAL: Do a standart 180-Frontside No-Comply but do not follow the boards movement, just get the back
foot off the board after it´s begun to turn in order to land it with your tail pointing forwards.

BACKSIDE 180-NO-COMPLY

1. Roll at a slow\average speed
2. Place your front foot over the front trucks with ur toes hanging off the deck and ur back foot centered on
the board,at the turning point of the back truck, slightly behind the screws.
3. Slip your front foot off the board at toe side, and at the same time pop the board with ur back foot
4. Move ur body backside, guiding the board through the arc between ur legs with ur back foot.(make sure
your front leg is not in the way)
5. jump off ur front foot and place it on the board to land. (the sooner you jump off,the more stylish it´ll be)

This trick can also be completed with adding another 180 backside turn on the back truck,I feel it the trick demands it
in a way.

"INWARD" NO-COMPLY

In this variant you turn the board to the heelside, not to the toe-side as in the standart no-comply.
You can land it as a varial,or you can add a frontside body varial to it,that will let you land riding fakie.

NO-COMPLYING UP CURBS

You can also get up small curbs (up to ca. a deckīs height) by using the no-comply technique.Advance the curb, ride
straight towards it.plant your front foot just in front of the curb and pop the board up and it´s back wheels against the
curb so the board hops up on it .Just get your front foot back on the board and your up.

NO-COMPLY-IMPOSSIBLE

1. Roll at rather slow speed
2. Place your front foot on the tip of the nose, and your back foot on the tail like for an ollie
3. Slip off the board at the nose, but put it back a bit (to heelside, keeping it out of the way),at the same
time, pop the board with your back foot .Initiate the spin by adding a forward movement to your foot (the
direction you ride)
4. Use your back foot to control the boardīs end-over-end spinning, try to keep in touch with the deck all the
time.
5. When the board has completed the spin, put your front foot back on it,and land.

360-NO-COMPLY and it´s VARIAL

A 360-No-Comply can be done only at a slow speed ,because you will have to "enter" the move with previous
rotation ,just like an ice-skater at a pirouette.Do the move like a standart 180-No-comply but turn 360 degrees and try
not to loose the board, attached to ur back foot.

For a 360 Varial you´ll add some extra punch into the standart No-Comply and keep your guiding foot over the board
to prevent it from flipping. As the rotation is completed you´ll board and land.

FRONTSIDE 180 NO-COMPLY-FLIP and it´s VARIAL

This one adds a flip to a standart no-comply or varial no-comply.It has become possible due to the higher agility of
today´s boards.I am actually the only one i know who came across flipping no-complys,but also nobody seems to do
them any more..

1. Place your front food just like doing a standart no comply (rolling,of course)
2. The back foot will be placed with the ball on the toe-side of the tail, and the toes hanging off the deck by
the screws of the back truck.
3. Slip the front foot off as usual but add a flip motion toe-wise to the 180 frontside motion
4. Jump off your front foot and either follow the 180 degrees movement or stay above it (varial).
5. Catch it and land it

360 VARIAL NO-COMPLY FLIP

This one often happens to me when i try a 360-No-comply.It´s just about adding even more power to the guiding foot
while popping.Well the last two tricks won´t require a real pop no more, I do them more with the help
of the bushings.

That´s it have fun!!
